As of the census of 2010, there were 107,431 people, 46,297 households, and 42,001 families residing in the county. The population density was 126.8 people per square mile. There were 77,482 housing units at an average density of 62.3 per square mile (24.1/km²). The racial makeup of the county was 84.6% White, 12.3% Black or African American, 0.8% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 0.8% Pacific Islander, 0.1% from other races, and 2.8% from two or more races. 5.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 46,297 households out of which 21.10% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% were non-families. 25% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.70.

In the county the population was spread out with 20.5% under the age of 18, 4.4% from 19 to 24, 22% from 25 to 44, 31.6% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 47 years. For every 100 females there were 96.70 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.90 males.

The median income for a household in the county was $46,438. Males had a median income of $30,185 versus $20,215 for females. The per capita income for the county was $27,100. About 10.2% of families and 11.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 21% of those under age 18 and 6% of those age 65 or over.
